Job Description
- Prospecting & qualifying the particular companies based on their products & services, profits, employee strength etc. and generating prospectus leads from the assigned territory.
- Supporting to marketing programs as needs such as creation & maintenance of mailing lists, invitations etc.
- Ability to identify the key decision makers and develop long term relationship.
- Pulls data from online sources like LinkedIn, Hoovers, Jigsaw & prosper websites as needed.
- Maintaining accurate records of the total number of sales made, potential and existing customers, as well as sales employee performance evaluations.
- Analyzing sales metrics to determine whether current sales strategies are effective.
- Conducting in-depth research on competitors' products, pricing, and market success to gain insight into customer preferences and interests.
- Grow revenue and relationships with existing customer base.
- Generate leads through cold calling, networking and referrals.
- Utilize inside sales knowledge.
- Quote formal and spot bids.
- Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction- maintain close contact with all customers including follow up on concerns or other issues.
- Communicate effectively with customers, shippers, and receivers regarding changes in pick-up/delivery and potential service failures.
- Communicate customer problems to management.
- Exceed all standards for prospecting calls, presentations, proposals and closes.
- Provide documented activity reports of your sales efforts on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.
- Execute and monitor strategic and tactical goals to maximize sales, profit and to ensure sales targets are met or exceeded.
- Identify and target potential clients through research, networking, and market analysis.
- Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of potential clients, ensuring a consistent flow of opportunities.
